This song is heavily influenced by “Rin toshite saku hana no gotoku”, composed by Beniiro Litmus.
During live performances, Ranko often changes the “mangetsu” of the fifth stanza with the live name or the location (example: “nouzui no yoru ni wa uta utai” translatable as “songs are sung on the night of Nouzui”).

Lyrics

te ni shita momiji wa
itsumo itsunomanika tondetta
yo wa tsuredzure taikutsu na me wo tojita

ureishi sora ni wa oborodzuki
kakoinaki yume wa tsutsuganashi

kouin shouin toki wa nagarete
mou ikkai nado zuru wa nashi
tooi mukou ni ake yuku sora wa
sennen mae no mama

te ni shita momiji wa
itsumo itsunomanika tondetta
yo wa tsuredzure taikutsu na me wo tojita

mangetsu no yoru ni wa uta utai
utakata no utage tsutsuganashi

kouin shouin toki wa nagaredo
mannen shinzou ni uso wa nashi
an ni tagaishi butsuji no kage wa
sennen mae no mama

te ni shita momiji wa
itsumo itsunomanika tondetta
“mou ii kai?”
tojite ita me wo aketa

te ni shita momiji wa
itsumo itsunomanika tondetta
yo wa tsuredzure taikutsu na me wo tojita
te ni shita momiji wa
itsumo itsunomanika tondetta
“mou ii kai?”
tojite ita me wo aketa

Translation

Translated by Anonymous Karakasa

Each red leaf I take in my hand
Always gets blown away too soon.
The world is tedious. I close my dull eyes.

A hazy moon hangs in the gloomy sky.
All is well in my boundless dreams.

The years pass by with time’s consent.
Nothing’s wrong with wanting a retry.
The sky is dawning at its seams,
Unchanging since a millennium.

Each red leaf I take in my hand
Always gets blown away too soon.
The world is tedious. I close my dull eyes.

Songs are sung on a full moon night.
All is well at this ephemeral feast.

The years might pass by with time’s consent,
Yet that woman’s perennial beauty is no lie.
The shadows of the things I expected to change
Are unchanged since a millennium.

Each red leaf I take in my hand
Always gets blown away too soon.
“Have you not had enough yet?”
I open the eyes I had shut.

Each red leaf I take in my hand
Always gets blown away too soon.
The world is tedious. I close my dull eyes.
Each red leaf I take in my hand
Always gets blown away too soon.
“Have you not had enough yet?”
I open the eyes I had shut.
