Ranko: The lyrics are by Comp. He said he wrote them based on a picture book called Aoi Yoru no Ookamitachi. I read it. I held back because it was before recording, otherwise I would have cried… Those poor wolves… (´•ω•̥`)
I think the tone of the song is a straight ballad, which is unusual for us. What’s actually unusual is that I was the one who wanted this kind of tune. I’m not good at ballads, but I wanted to give it a try.
What do you think?

Lyrics

傷痍 抱きしめる様に
蒼い夜に深く吸い込まれてく
遠く耳を澄ませば微かに燃ゆる遠吠えの祈り

shoui dakishimeru you ni
aoi yoru ni fukaku suikomareteku
tooku mimi wo sumaseba kasuka ni moyuru tooboe no inori

どうか どうか 届きます様に
崩れかけた義でも
どうか どうか 届きます様に
天を仰ぐ声

douka douka todokimasu you ni
kuzurekaketa gi demo
douka douka todokimasu you ni
ten wo aogu koe

冥利 目に見えぬ故
置き去りにした心は黒ずんで
遠い月のかけらを集める足は傷つき震える

myouri me ni mienu yue
okizari ni shita kokoro wa kurozunde
tooi tsuki no kakera wo atsumeru ashi wa kizutsuki furueru

どうか どうか 届きます様に
痩せた遠吠えでも
どうか どうか 届きます様に
天に喘ぐ声

douka douka todokimasu you ni
yaseta tooboe demo
douka douka todokimasu you ni
ten ni aegu koe

Translation

These wounds, like an embrace
Absorbed deep into the azure night
If you listen carefully in the distance, you can hear a faint, burning, howling prayer

Please, please, may it reach you
Even in my crumbling righteousness
Please, please, may it reach you
A voice looking up to the heavens

This blessing, the reason it can’t be seen
Is that the heart that I left behind is darkened
As I gather fragments of the distant moon, my feet are wounded and trembling

Please, please, may it reach you
Even if it’s a feeble howl
Please, please, may it reach you
A voice panting in the heavens
