In this month’s Bibibi article, Ranko talks about stuffed animals!
I’m Ranko, the BUTAOTOME vocalist. This series of articles is about the things I like and how I like them.
First of all, I’d like to report that Universal Studios Japan is currently holding a limited time Gegege no Kitaro attraction~~~~!!!! (great joy) (ultra celebration) It’s called “Gegege no Kitaro the Real ~The Haunted Ghost Village~”. It’s a haunted house!
I went there right away! It was so much fun~~~! If you don’t like scary things, you might find it quite scary, so be careful… I was admiring the beauty of the shapes of the youkai that came out, and I wish they would come out in brighter light so I could see them more closely. But then there would be no point…
This is a churritos of Kitaro and Ichitan Momen. I’m so glad I bought this collab food. The next time I go to Unibah, I’d like to try the other one, “Medama-Oyaji’s ojiya”. The Halloween event is going on until November 7th, so if you’re going, please try it! I just wanted to do this advertisement!
Okay, the theme this time is “stuffed animals”.
You know… I wasn’t sure about that. I was thinking that stuffed animals aren’t really a character, or that I have a lot of accessories so I should introduce them, or that I should introduce a cafe I liked in Osaka. But the theme of this series is “what I like, as much as I like”, right? I do like accessories, but I feel like they’re something different, and I want to introduce cafes in Osaka after I’ve been to a few more places.
So… Well… I’m going to introduce you to… some of my stuffed animals… I’m still a bit embarrassed, so I’m sorry I’m not as sharp as usual.
Here’s the whole gang.
When… When I sleep with them on my bed, I’m very happy. Really. It’s amazing. They are all my favorites, but here are a few that I would like to comment on.
These are a stuffed cheetah and white tiger that I bought at Himeji Central Park, and I couldn’t resist buying them because of their face~~~ Look at them! Aren’t they cute! You can find feline plushies at many zoos, but you won’t find any with such a nice face and texture~ I highly recommend them!
This is a tyrannosaurus, and it’s wearing fluffy feathers. They are removable.
There seems to be a popular theory these days that dinosaurs actually had hair like birds, which is why it has this design! If I take them off, it’ll be hard to put them back on, so I just leave them on. It’s cute.
This is a friend of mine. No, is it a friend? Or is it a character? I’m not sure about that… but I bought this plushie of my friend’s concept because it’s funny and actually cute.
This is what it looks like from the side.
It’s called Nyabun. It often hangs out with the Yoshi plushies in my house.
I bought these at Universal Studios Japan! They are a soft and fluffy pair of a dinosaur and a shark. They are really soft to the touch and cute… I can put my hand inside shark’s mouth and use it as a pillow. There’s a dead woman in its mouth, but it’s cute, so it’s okay (?)
And these are the plushies lined up on the head of my bed. I’d like to have more Molcar plushies, but there’s no end to them…
