I apologize for not being able to keep the weekly recap weekly, but this is a very silent period for the World of BUTAOTOME, except for Comp working on stuff that has not been revealed yet. I’ve updated the About BUTAOTOME section a couple of weeks ago. I’ve renewed the current members’ pictures, and rewrote some stuff! Meanwhile, the BUTAOTOME… Read more »
I started to write this article a couple of months ago after I was mindlessly browsing the Lost Media Wiki. Then, the other day, I found out that lost and disappeared media is extended even to gacha games and thought about finishing it. Because even the small doujin circles have their own share of mysteries! Here is a list of… Read more »
TC updates! First of all, the list of songs has been updated! Changes I made over the course of the time: Removed the English-friendly list because it was bothersome to update Moved all the re-arrangements tracks to a separated table Added Ranko’s songs with other arrangers (it will look prettier once I’ll add all the links) Added a few notes… Read more »
OMG, I always thought this could have happened only in dreams, but yeah, the official website has been updated!! It doesn’t have a redesign, but some sections have been updated! DISCO has been finally updated to include all the albums released in the last couple of years. Neko no Anmin and the photobooks are missing, however. The Download section has… Read more »
It’s another slow period of news. I’m still busy saving all the posts from the old fanclub blog on Butaotome.net. I should be done before the next month starts. It’s still unclear if the fanclub terminating its service at the end of November means that all of its content will be lost forever, but better safe than sorry. Once I’ll… Read more »
It took one month, but I’ve finally translated Yume no Hanashi (Ranko’s collection of Touhou stories based on her lyrics) in both English and Italian. I consider it to be my most ambitious project, and one of the BUTAOTOME-related things I’m proud of. To celebrate it, here is a review! The book is small, as you can see. There are… Read more »
A new Touhou derivative game for iOS/Android has been revealed! Touhou Danmaku Kagura (東方ダンマクカグラ) is a rhythm game developed and published by AQUASTYLE and DeNA. The game will be released in 2021, and it will be free to play with in-app purchases/gacha elements. The gameplay looks extremely similar to Bang Dream: Girls Band Party, so I think the gacha part… Read more »
Ranko recorded more stuff, the fanbox has been updated with more audio files and an old video from the Magical Gambler 2013 tour, Comp still tweets English stuff (mostly Bob Marley and Bob Dylan quotes). Yume no Hanashi translationAfter a month, I’m finally done translating this book in both English and Italian! It has been a great journey for me!… Read more »

I skipped last week’s update due to the lack of big news, but now here we are!Ranko recorded something, and Comp… is tweeting stuff in English for unknown reasons. Last Friday, Ranko was a guest in a radio streaming by a friend of hers, just for random chatting. You can relisten to it here. From Fanclub to FanboxThere was a… Read more »
